Jaye P. Morgan Discography

Take a moment to enjoy the Jaye P. Morgan Discography, which has been divided into the following three sections:

Albums  CDs  Single releases

Jaye P. Morgan began her recording career while still in her late teens with her very first known recording being released in 1951. “Ciribiribin on the Mandolin” was recorded by
Frank DeVol and his orchestra and featured vocals by Jaye P. Morgan and the Dream Makers, released on Capitol Records.

During the late 1940s and continuing into the early 1950s, Jaye P. Morgan was working with Hank Penny and his band both in concert and in the recording studio. At the time she began with the Hank Penny band, she was still known as Mary Morgan. One of her earliest recordings with Hank Penny is “Riding On The Old Ferris Wheel” for King Records and released in 1951. Subsequently, her additional recordings with Hank Penny were for the RCA Victor label and released throughout the early 1950s.

The primary record labels on which Jaye P. Morgan’s recordings have been released under include Derby Records, Decca, Royale, RCA Victor, MGM Records, and Beverly Hills Records.

Jaye P. Morgan has recorded many hit songs in her musical career with her most popular discs including “Just a Gigolo,” “Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries,” “That’s All I Want From You” (her first million seller), “Danger! Heartbreak Ahead,” “The Longest Walk,” “Chee Chee-oo Chee
(sang the little bird)” with Perry Como, to name a few. Her performances and recordings have encompassed a variety of musical styles and she has been accompanied by some of the most gifted musicians. To be in the recording studio is truly one of her great passions.

At this time, the discography features the primary releases of singer Jaye P. Morgan but does not include album & CD compilations, foreign releases, special releases such as radio transcriptions or promotional releases by many record companies. This additional information is being planned for the discography at a later time.

The Jaye P. Morgan Discography has been researched and compiled by Mike Donaldson.
